谢志光 (1899 - 1967)，中国临床放射学家，医学教育家。中国放射医学体系的创建者和奠基人，中山大学肿瘤防治中心创院院长。 在X线诊断学、放射治疗学、放射物理学、放射生物学等方面建树颇多。对中国放射学的创建和发展作出了巨大的贡献。 谢志光在坚持医疗实践和教学的同时坚持医学科学的研究，并形成了一套完整的、独特的学术思想体系，培养了大批放射学人才。 同时，对恶性肿瘤的诊断和治疗亦有深入的研究，特别对鼻咽癌的早期诊断、临床发展规律、晚期病例的分型分期和治疗方法等，积累了丰富的经验， 持有独到的见解，深为国内外专业学者所重视。该雕塑由美中嘉和集团董事长杨建宇先生捐赠，该系列汉白玉雕像均由中央美术学院专业团队负责完成制作。

Xie Zhiguang (1899 - 1967) was a Chinese clinical radiologist and medical educator. He founded China's radiology system and served as the first director of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He made significant contributions to the development of X-ray diagnosis, radiotherapy, radiation physics, and radiation biology. His work was crucial in the creation and development of radiology in China. While dedicating himself to medical practice and teaching, Xie Zhiguang also emphasized scientific research in the field of medicine, resulting in the development of a comprehensive and unique academic ideology. He nurtured a large number of talents in radiology. Additionally, Dr. Xie Zhiguang conducted in-depth research on the diagnosis and treatment of malignant tumors. In particular, he accumulated rich experience and unique insights in the early diagnosis, clinical development patterns, classification and staging, and treatment methods for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. His contributions have been highly valued by professionals and scholars both domestically and internationally. This sculpture was donated by Mr. Yang Jianyu, Chairman of Concord Medical. This series of white marble statues were produced by a professional team from the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
