海伦·B·陶西格 (1898 - 1986) 是美国心脏病学家，美国心脏病学委员会首位女性主席。有一种新生儿的先天性心脏病叫法洛四联症。 海伦·陶西格发明了用于治疗法洛四联症的“陶西格分流术”，即左锁骨下动脉-肺动脉分流术 Blalock-Thomas-Taussig shunt，简称 BT 分流术。她撰写了《先天性心脏畸形》一书。 她的成就是多方面的，包括提倡使用动物进行医学研究、临终关怀、姑息治疗、禁用沙利度胺、以及堕胎合法化，被称为改变美国医学进程的传奇女医生。 该雕塑由广州金域医学检验中心有限公司捐赠。

Helen B. Taussig (1898 - 1986) was an American cardiologist and the first female president of the American Heart Association. She invented the "Taussig Shunt," also known as the Blalock-Thomas-Taussig Shunt or BT Shunt, which is used to treat Tetralogy of Fallot. Tetralogy of Fallot is a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. She authored the book "Congenital Malformations of the Heart." Her achievements were varied, including advocating for the use of animals in medical research, hospice care, palliative care, banning thalidomide, and the legalization of abortion. She is hailed as a legendary female doctor who changed the course of American medicine. This sculpture was donated by Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Co., Ltd.
